We provide the operational backbone (our software businesses) and the insider stories and ticket sales engine (our consumer businesses) for thousands of live events organizations in 15 different countries, and we are among the largest organizations in this space, competing neck and neck for clients with household brands like Ticketmaster & Eventbrite.

Our customers include organizations like Wembley Stadium, The Grand Ole Opry, The Bluebird Cafe, Playhouse Square, University of Tennessee and City Winery (plus too many more very cool and innovative organizations to list!).

We have just under 200 employees located around the world, including developers, salespeople, writers & editors and a myriad of other roles.

As an Ad Operations Associate, you will support the day-to-day execution, management and optimization of ad campaign, systems and inventory across WhatsOnStage email, programmatic, and social channels. You would be a part of the team that drives revenue for WhatsOnStage.com by providing support for our Commerical team. In addition, you will also have the opportunity to partner with your counterparts on the TheaterMania.com team as well as our Marketing team.

What you’ll do

Work alongside the WhatsOnStage Commercial team to manage email and digital advertising campaigns on behalf of our clients

Email:

  • Work closely with our WhatsOnStage team to deliver email promotions and newsletters using Salesforce Marketing Cloud
  • Collect advertising collateral from clients prior to launch
  • Perform QA prior to campaign launch
  • Manage workflow and relationship with creative and design team, any freelance or outsource resources, and marketing or advertising team counterparts
  • Provide results and learnings in post campaign review with segment marketing lead; leverage learnings to optimise future campaigns
  • Work alongside Commercial and Marketing teams on the planning and delivery of campaigns
  • Build and maintain a professional relationship with peers by responding to marketing briefs and managing creative approvals process
  • Ensure campaigns exhibit email best practices and are designed with a clear call-to-action


Advertising:

  • Traffic display, video, search, featured listings management and programmatic campaigns for our advertising clients using Google Ad Manager
  • Manage and launch organic and social campaigns
  • Collect advertising collateral from clients prior to launch
  • Perform QA prior to campaign launch
  • Take responsibility for the entire campaign flight cycle, including flight Planning, QA of creative, URLs, tracking parameters, and communications with clients and create an organized process
  • Stay on top of the industry regarding new ad products, formats and regulations
  • Create a knowledge base for the internal team and share to review standard methodologies, ad formats, and best practices
  • Work closely with our Commercial team to make recommendations and support optimisations of campaigns on a frequent basis for best performance and delivery
  • Trouble-shoot ad serving errors, report discrepancies and broken creative
  • Provide inventory reports weekly to the larger team
  • Provide post campaign results and overall insights on sell-through and rates on all direct and programmatic opportunities to find areas of growth and need

Job Requirements:

  • Extremely organised, with project management skills or experience.
  • 1-2 years' experience with trafficking digital media and advertising
  • Working knowledge of Google Ad Manager (also called GAM or DFP) and programmatic platforms such as Centro
  • Basic understanding of HTML, Flash, and JavaScript, rich media vendors, mobile and pre-roll solutions, programmatic technologies and exchanges, OMS and CRM tools
  • Knowledge of Salesforce Marketing Cloud or similar email marketing and automation tool
  • Our headquarters are located in Toronto, but we are a dispersed team (i.e. work from home), and are open to candidates from anywhere in the United Kingdom.
  • Technical mindset to absorb ad-serving technologies with a strong attention to detail
  • Ability to meet multiple deadlines in a deadline driven, changing environment
  • Demonstrate analytical skills and passion for analysing data, products, brands
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills, ability to work with cross-functional teams
