Summary / Primary Role:

The Director of Infrastructure and Security is responsible for the successful, continuous, reliable, and secure delivery of the IT corporate services to all Business Units. **This position will sit in our Charlotte, NC office and is not remote.**
 

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Report directly to the VP of IT Operations and serve as a member of the Global IT management Team.
  • Oversee infrastructure design, delivery, operations, and support (Network, Storage, Database, SAN and virtualization).
  • Ensure scalability, security, reliability, and audit compliance of the Data Center and DR site.
  • Provide senior level technical expertise and leadership in the areas of IT architecture, design, support, and service delivery.
  • Analyze IT infrastructure needs and lead the design and implementation of new system architectures.
  • Manage Infrastructure Operations staff and Network security staff and contractors to ensure that business processes are streamlined and optimized for value.
  • Work with the Program Management Office team to ensure that all projects are delivered in a timely and costly manner.
  • Oversee the management of service level agreements with vendors and service providers.
  • Manage internal business relationships and service level agreements.
  • Establish metrics, key performance indicators and service level agreements for driving the performance of IT infrastructure service delivery.
  • Communicate effectively and proactively about IT infrastructure related matters with all relevant stakeholders.
  • Research, evaluate, and stay current on emerging security tools, trends, policies, best practices, techniques, and technologies.



Qualifications and Key Skills:

  • M.S. or B.S. in Computer Science\Engineering or related field.
  • Minimum 10 years of total IT experience.
  • progressive hands-on technical experience in IT infrastructure – architecture, systems administration, routing / switching, network design, database systems, virtualization, storage area networks, etc.
  • A proven track record of managing diverse technical staff and resources from a combination of in house and multiple sourcing providers across a global environment
  • Experience in supporting enterprise applications in a high availability environment.
  • Background and understanding of ITIL Service management.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and a meticulous attention to detail required.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Reasoning Ability: Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written or oral form.
  • Language Skills: Ability to read and comprehend instruction in English.


Work Environment:

This job operates in a professional office environment. This

role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones,

photocopiers, fax machines, 10 key calculator, and filing cabinets.

to move and/or access files or other necessary equipment, and rarely required

to crouch; crawl; climb; or balance.
