Odyssey is looking for a Manager, Business and Client Solutions to join its Package Truck business unit in Kennesaw, GA. The Manager, Business and Client Solutions must be an energetic professional ready to take on the challenges of maintaining a positive customer relationship with a wide variety of clients. The individual in this role will obtain a complete understanding of the customers’ logistics needs and how Odyssey can continue to provide solutions and enhance the customers’ business through a thorough understanding of Odyssey’s services and technologies. Some of the main responsibilities include problem solving and managing exceptions with minimal client disruption; collaborating with internal departments to ensure world-class customer service, drive efficiency, and execute new strategies for increased growth and profitability; gaining competency with Odyssey’s technology platforms and educating clients on the benefits of leveraging it; partnering with the operations and carrier sales team to quote, schedule, book and track each shipment to its completion across all modes of transportation (TL, LTL, Partial, Flatbed, etc.); assisting in the coordination and supporting the implementation of new contractual accounts; and identifying internal process issues and participating in the improvement process.

Qualifications and Key Skills:

  • Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Transportation industry and management experience in a customer-facing role are required.
  • Strong relationship building and customer service skills are a must.
  • Ability to cultivate relationships with decision makers of all levels.
  • Proficient in MS Office including Access, Power Point, Excel.
  • Good analytical skills.
  • Organizational skills and ability to manage priorities based on assigned workload.  Attention to detail.
  • Strong time management, problem solving and multi-tasking abilities.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with ability to demonstrate appropriate phone and email etiquette in addition to conducting presentations to large accounts.
